Who is Hilti?

For the sixth time in the past 11 years, Hilti has been named one of the best employers by Great Place to Work.
What began as a family business in 1941, founded by brothers Eugene and Martin Hilti, has become a leading industry player with over 120 locations worldwide and a workforce of more than 32,000 colleagues. Our incredible journey, from humble beginnings to a global powerhouse, is a shining example of the rewards of a hard-working and dedicated team.

We invest a substantial amount of our annual profit to the Hilti Foundation, which focuses on initiatives that empower people to live independently and autonomously, contribute to building stronger societies, and create networks of competent partners to achieve sustainable and scalable impact.

What does the role involve?

At Hilti, we provide diverse internship opportunities in our sustainability team, tailored to your academic and professional background:
With an environmental or technical background , you will help us to achieve our CO2-reduction goals, support us in our Circularity initiatives, gather information for certifications, work on energy-efficiency initiatives or the improvement of our buildings.
Following your studies in marketing & communication or business administration , you will support the team with sustainability or circularity initiatives focused on our offering for customers or work on regulations. Other internship areas could be within communication, tool donation and our corporate volunteering program “Engaged Beyond Business.”
If IT or data management is your background, you will support us on data and reporting projects, focusing on the corporate perspective or the product view.
You will work in a highly motivated team and will be in charge of your own projects. This includes independent alignments with stakeholders within the organization, structuring and processing contents as well as bringing forth and implementing improvement processes. You’ll work closely with our experts to develop our way to drive sustainability at Hilti.

Clara, Intern Corporate Sustainability: “Right at the beginning of my internship, I was warmly welcomed by the team and was directly assigned my own project. I was not only able to work independently on a task but at the same time I had the opportunity to contribute to team projects. This approach allowed me to sharpen my project-management, communication, and critical-thinking skills from the beginning on. Through the regular exchange in the team, I broadened my understanding of sustainability and acquired valuable insights for navigating a dynamic work environment.”
