What's the role?

With your several years of experience in dealing with international patent portfolios, you will support our in-house counsel in all matters concerning technical IP rights. You will manage all proceedings in Germany and abroad on your own responsibility in an international team.

What does the role involve?

You will independently and on your own responsibility accompany development projects in which you identify and secure new inventions. Your task is to conduct all patent prosecution proceedings before the DPMA, the EPO, the WIPO and abroad. In addition, you will be responsible for portfolio management and the monitoring and assessment of competitive situations. You will also be responsible for enforcing intellectual property rights and drafting technology, competitor portfolio and freedom-to-operate analyses for new developments. Furthermore, you will be involved in drafting and negotiating contracts in the context of cooperation, development, and licensing agreements.

Last year alone, we launched around 60 new products on the market. This also includes new services and software.

What you need is:

  • University degree in the field of natural science or electrical engineering
  • Certified patent attorney (european, german or USA)
  • Several years of experience in an industrial patent department or a patent law firm
  • Strong analytical skills and structured way of working
  • Team player with excellent communication skills in an interdisciplinary and international environment
  • Very good English
