Join us in shaping the energy transition and the strategic orientation of our company! We are looking for a Category Manager (m/f/d) for HV & MV Grid Connection, Transformer & Switchgear.

In this role in our central procurement department, you will be responsible for the global standardization and procuring of the required medium and high voltage grid connection, transformer and switchgear. This includes the qualification, selection, procurement, quality assurance and further supplier and technology portfolio development.

You know the requirements from our worldwide projects and find the right suppliers for these components and carry out targeted tenders internationally. In addition to economic optimization, you also contribute to quality assurance - both before and after delivery of the components.

Tasks:

  • Providing a cost competitive supplier portfolio for HV & MV Grid Connection, Transformer & Switchgear as well as battery storage while meeting quality standards and project schedules
  • Conducting supply market research to qualify new manufacturers/suppliers and enhance existing supplier relationships
  • Determining the demand for our photovoltaic projects worldwide with project managers and electrical engineers
  • Concluding frame and project contracts covering terms & conditions, prices, supplier code of conduct and other sustainability aspects
  • Gathering and distributing category-specific knowledge as technology developments, quality standards and price trends
  • Interface with suppliers and construction sites before, during and after the supply phase
  • Supporting our projects as escalation for supplier claims management

Profile:

  • Degree or several years of professional experience in the field of business management with focus on purchasing and/or electrical engineering
  • Minimum of three years working experience in renewable industry, power transmission, supply chain or similar experience preferred
  • Independent, systematic and proactive way of working, especially in the structured preparation (processes & tools) of supplier qualification, tender formulation and contract conclusion based on a project pipeline
  • Confident appearance and ability to prepare and present information to senior management as input for educated business decisions
  • Strong communication and argumentation skills as well as experience in managing complex networks of internal interfaces, suppliers, service providers, and customers
  • Business fluent in German and English
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 20 %)
