Commodity Buyer (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for product group and supplier management in the areas of MRO, packaging and logistics
  • Development and implementation of cross-location product group strategies
  • Active management of supplier portfolios, supplier reduction
  • Determination of sources of supply: Initiating procurement processes, carrying out tenders, making supplier decisions together with relevant stakeholders
  • Conducting contract negotiations, concluding contracts
  • Cross-functional collaboration within a global matrix organization
  • Continuous identification of improvement and efficiency enhancement potential in both operational and strategic purchasing and their implementation

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed studies in the field of industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable course of study
  • Several years of professional experience in (global) product group purchasing or project purchasing in an industrial company. Experience in purchasing for logistics service providers is an advantage
  • Expertise within the SAP MM module, ideally initial experience with SAP S/4 HANA, eProcurement systems and reporting tools
  • Hands-on mentality, proactive, independent and structured way of working, assertiveness, strong negotiation skills and strong communication skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken German and English and a general willingness to travel
