Simulation Engineer (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

  • Simulation and design of mechanical seals for gases and liquids
  • Structural analyses and strength assessments of components using FEM, including dynamic and thermal simulations
  • Development and maintenance of automated simulation workflows and development of calculation tools
  • Interpretation and presentation of simulation results to support decision-making in the product development process

Qualifications

  • Completed studies (doctorate / PhD welcome) in mechanical engineering / process engineering / physics / technical mathematics, computational engineering or similar fields
  • Solid foundational knowledge in the fields of engineering mechanics, structural mechanics, thermodynamics, machine elements and materials science, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis and the use of corresponding tools (e.g. Ansys, Abaqus)
  • Experience in applying artificial intelligence methods, especially in relation to physical systems (e.g. surrogate models, data-driven simulation, reinforcement learning)
  • Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, .NET, or similar
  • Very good German skills (at least C1) as well as good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Professional experience desired
