The Strategic Assistant (m/f/d) acts as a trusted sparring partner to the Executive Board Member Commercial & Marketing. The role combines executive coordination, strategic analysis and hands-on project support, enabling fact-based decision-making and the effective execution of key commercial and marketing initiatives across the PHOENIX group. Within Commercial & Marketing, the focus includes Digital Commerce, Private Label and B2C as well as B2B business models. The position includes dedicated regional responsibility for European countries and offers a clear perspective towards management roles.
For our Commercial & Marketing organisation we are looking for a Strategic Assistant (m/f/d) to the Executive Board Member Commercial & Marketing at our headquarters in Mannheim.
Your Tasks
- Support fact-based decision-making by preparing concise, high-quality analyses, decision papers and management presentations for the Executive Board
- Serve as a central communication interface between Group Management and senior leaders of PHOENIX group’s international subsidiaries
- Independently analyze, structure and professionally present ad-hoc strategic topics for top management
- Conduct market, competitive and business model analyses, including B2C and Digital Commerce concepts, and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Plan and implement group-wide commercial initiatives across Europe, with a focus on Digital Commerce, Private Label and B2C business models, and a dedicated regional responsibility for Western Europe
- Lead or support strategic and cross-functional special projects at Group level, from concept to execution
Your Profile
- Excellent academic background in Business Administration or a comparable field; a PhD is an advantage, ideally with a focus on strategy, B2C business models or healthcare-related service environments
- Relevant professional experience (3–5 years) in an international environment; background in top-tier management consulting, strategy or corporate development is a strong plus
- Proven ability to structure complex topics, derive strategic insights and translate them into actionable recommendations with high execution excellence
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills combined with a pragmatic, results-driven mindset and the confidence to operate at Executive Board level
- Professional senior presence, excellent communication and influencing skills, as well as absolute reliability and discretion when handling highly confidential information
- Fluent English, both written and spoken; strong intercultural competence and the ability to interact confidently with senior stakeholders across multiple countries and hierarchy levels
- International mobility and willingness to travel within Europe
