We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Data Analyst (m/f/d) to support our Operational Controlling team. In this role, you will act as the data and reporting backbone for the Analytics/ Business Partner function, ensuring reliable data foundations, scalable reporting solutions, and high-quality analytical outputs. Working closely with stakeholders from our trading function you will transform complex data into structured datasets, dashboards, and tools that enable fact-based decision making across headquarters and local affiliates. You will play a key role in building and maintaining the analytical infrastructure that supports performance management and strategic initiatives.
This position can be filled at the headquarters in Mannheim.
Your Tasks
Data Management & Technical Foundation
- Ensure availability, consistency, and accuracy of business-related data (sales, margins, volumes, stock, service levels).
- Maintain and further develop data models, data pipelines, and datasets used for reporting and analysis.
- Identify data quality issues and proactively drive innovative improvements in collaboration with IT and data owners.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and data processes.
- Improve efficiency and scalability of analytics workflows.
- Contribute to the development of best practices in data handling, reporting, and visualization.
Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Design, build, and maintain automated dashboards and reports (e.g., in Power BI or similar tools).
- Standardize reporting structures across countries and trading units.
- Enable self-service reporting capabilities for business users where appropriate.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of recurring reports (e.g., performance tracking, KPI dashboards).
Business Collaboration
- Support Business Partners and other stakeholders with data preparation and deep-dive analyses.
- Act as a technical point of contact for data topics within the trading organization.
- Translate business questions into structured data queries and analytical approaches supporting Business/ Trading performance reviews and decision making.
- Contribute to the identification of trends, anomalies, and data-driven insights.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar technical role.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple countries.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Power BI (or comparable BI tools), solid experience with SQL and data extraction/manipulation.
- Experience in pharmaceutical wholesale, healthcare, or trading environments is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality, ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Fluent in English; German or other European languages are an advantage.
