Intern – Battery Cell Technology (m/f/x)

We're seeking an intern who is eager to dive into lithium-ion battery technology, leveraging chemistry and electrochemical understanding to create safer, more efficient lithium-ion batteries. You'll gain hands-on experience working at Hilti as part of our battery research team, actively supporting our research projects
This internship position has a flexible start date and runs for at least 6 months.

What You'll do

You’ll be part of our interdisciplinary battery team, working on the latest lithium-ion battery technology. You’ll work closely with our experts focusing on battery research and development. Your key responsibilities involve different tasks within the following topics: investigation of latest commercial Li-ion cells, improving our current testing methods, conducting advanced experimental tests, and analyzing and reporting your findings.

What You’ll Bring

• Academic Background: Currently pursuing a degree in chemistry, materials science or similar
• Laboratory Experience: Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting is required (e.g., working with gloveboxes)
• Technical Skills: Basic electrochemistry and prior experience in data analysis (e.g., MATLAB) would be beneficial
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required
• Team Spirit: Demonstrated enthusiasm for contributing to a dynamic and stimulating international team
• Personal Attributes: Troubleshooting skills and a self-reliant personality are highly valued
