Product Design Engineer (f/m/d) – Advanced / Experienced

Responsibilities

• Independent 3D CAD design of mechanical seals, including variant management for multiple product lines
• Creation of assemblies, components, and bills of materials using CAD (Solid Edge), PDM (Siemens TeamCenter), and ERP (SAP)
• Processing and coordination of design orders and standard solutions
• Performing seal-specific calculations and design tasks using existing tools
• Maintenance of design toolkits in coordination with Product Management
• Technical guidance and training of international colleagues
• Technical support for Sales, Service, and Reliability Engineering
• In the future: taking on increased technical leadership and supporting customer inquiries and complaints

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field (alternatively: certified technician with relevant experience)
• Initial to several years of experience in design engineering or relevant academic projects
• Proficient in 3D CAD systems (ideally Solid Edge)
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, grinding)
• Ideally, knowledge of pump or sealing technology
• Structured, independent, and team-oriented working style
• Confident communication skills, flexibility and fluent English
• Willingness to travel internationally
