Corporate Export Control Manager (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the BAFA requirements for the Internal Compliance Program
  • Advise and train Export Control Officers at EagleBurgmann affiliates how to carry out compliant export control
  • Compliance with the country embargo (countries and scope of embargo)
  • Execution of sanction list check
  • Lead contact with authorities (customs, BAFA / Federal Office of Economics and Export Control)
  • Execute regular review of current legislation and adjustment of global export control processes
  • Monitor changes in German, European, and U.S. export control legislation and develop, implement, and adjust global export control processes accordingly
  • Classify goods according to export control lists and ensure accurate coding for export declarations
  • Organize and maintain export control–relevant master data

Qualifications

  • Advanced commercial education with a specialization in export control or foreign trade
  • Several years of professional experience in export control within an industrial company
  • In-depth expertise in German, European, and U.S. (re-)export control laws and regulations
  • Strong understanding of operational processes combined with analytical and process-oriented thinking
  • Proven ability to translate complex trade regulations into practical, compliant operational solutions
  • Proficient in SAP (ERP and GTS) and MS Office applications
  • Fluent German and fluent English (expert level); willingness to travel internationally
