Lead Lab Automatization & Digitalization (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

  • Advancement of laboratory automation: You drive the digitalization of our global laboratories — from automation to end-to-end instrument and data integration
  • Implementation of modern technologies: You evaluate and integrate new solutions such as robotics, AI, IoT, and SAP interfaces to make laboratory processes more efficient and data-driven.
  • Project leadership & governance: You coordinate automation projects globally, define standards, and establish scalable structures for future innovations.
  • Interface & stakeholder management: You work closely with laboratory teams, IT, engineering, and external partners, building a strong internal automation competence network.
  • Quality & compliance: You ensure system validation, data integrity, and compliance with relevant standards (e.g. ISO, GxP) and conduct regular system reviews.

Qualifications

  • Completed degree with a relevant background related to the position
  • Experience in laboratory processes, digitalization, or automation, ideally involving robotics or IoT technologies
  • Strong know-how in data structures, SAP integration, and quality assurance — with a solid understanding of how high-quality data is generated and processed in a reliable, compliant manner
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, combined with a hands-on mindset and the ability to solve complex topics pragmatically
  • Very good German and English skills, as well as willingness to travel for business
