Operations Director Manufacturing Metal Components (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible leadership of metal component manufacturing at the Eurasburg site across 7 production lines: sawmill, 5 machining lines, and fine machining, with approximately 145 employees and 7 Operations Managers as direct reports.
  • Accountability for the strategic development and implementation of digitization and automation initiatives.
  • Ensuring a productive and flexible manufacturing process to best meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Identification and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards and continuous improvement of production quality.
  • Planning and monitoring of the production area budget.
  • Close collaboration with interface departments such as Engineering, Quality, Planning, CAM, Tool Management, HSE, Industrial Engineering, etc.

Qualifications

  • Completed technical degree combined with solid business management knowledge
  • Several years of professional experience in a production environment, including core competencies in machining, automation, and digitalization
  • Several years of leadership experience as an Operations Director with a corresponding strategic background
  • Strong knowledge of production planning and control as well as lean management
  • Distinct leadership and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset and a solution‐oriented approach
  • Business‐fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken (CEF B2/C1)
