15-20 working hours per week.
Flexible working hours (Monday to Friday), but this position cannot be performed remotely; attendance in the laboratory, located in Zwingenberg, is required.

You support our team as

Working student in the area of Research & Development (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration on the development of new processes for the galvanic and chemical treatment of surfaces in our research laboratory. This includes, in particular, work on sealer in the area of cathodic corrosion protection
  • Assisting in the preparation and application of sealers on various fastener types and characterization
  • Planning of test series and their implementation on a laboratory scale, if necessary with methods of statistical test planning
  • Analysis of electrolytes as well as chemical and physical characterization of the deposited layers
  • Transfer of the new processes to the pilot plant scale

Qualifications

  • Study of chemical engineering, process engineering, chemistry, materials science or related fields with reference to surface technology
  • Interest in topics related to electroplated coatings
  • Experience in basic laboratory operations (pipetting, titration, mixing, etc.)
  • Good computer skills (MS-Office)
  • Independent working style and analytical skills
  • Initiative, ability to work in a team and creativity
  • Very good verbal and written English skills
