Sales Engineer – Automotive Industry (Austria-wide) (f/m/d)
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and commercial consulting to existing and new customers within Austria’s automotive industry
- Drive acquisition, retention, and strategic development of the South-East Austria sales territory
- Take full responsibility for revenue growth and results-driven market expansion
- Prepare sales forecasts and systematically identify new market opportunities (OEMs and Tier suppliers)
- Manage quotations, sampling, contract renewals, and ensure consistent follow-up
- Support product development activities, customer trials, and resolve product-related issues
- Monitor market and competitor activities and derive strategic actions
- Represent the company at customer events, trade fairs, and coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure effective reporting and execution
Qualifications
- Strong sales orientation, communication skills, and customer focus
- Willingness to travel, including overnight stays (70%)
- Solid technical knowledge (engineering/technical degree or equivalent experience)
- Relevant experience or strong interest in the automotive industry (advantageous)
- Good IT user skills
- Team orientation, structured working style, and conflict-handling capability
- Valid driver’s license (Class B)
- Fluency in English and German (both written and spoken)
