Global Commodity Buyer IT & Telecommunication (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for category and supplier management in the areas of IT and Professional Services
• Development and implementation of cross-site category strategies
• Active management and optimization of supplier portfolios, including supplier consolidation and reduction initiatives
• Definition of sourcing strategies: initiation of procurement processes, execution of tenders, and supplier selection in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
• Leading framework and commercial contract negotiations as well as contract management activities
• Cross-functional collaboration within a global matrix organization
• Continuous identification and implementation of improvement and efficiency opportunities in both operational and strategic procurement

Qualifications

• Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a comparable field of study
• Several years of professional experience in (global) category management or project procurement within an industrial company; experience in procuring complex services and/or IT solutions is an advantage
• Strong expertise in SAP MM; ideally with initial experience in SAP S/4HANA, eProcurement systems, and reporting tools
• Hands-on mentality with a proactive, self-driven, and structured approach to work; strong assertiveness, excellent negotiation skills, and outstanding communication abilities
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel as required for the role
