We are looking for a Data Scientist (m/f/d). This position can be filled at the headquarters in Mannheim. This position is limited to 12 months.

Your Tasks

  • You will join the central advanced analytics and AI team based in Mannheim, Germany.
  • You will ideate, validate, and implement use cases that drive business value for PHOENIX in multiple European countries. This may include cases from Logistics and Supply Chain Management or other business functions of PHOENIX.
  • As part of the core development team, you will implement or lead the implementation of advanced analytics, machine learning or (gen) AI projects and data products. In this role, a high level of engagement, proactive communication and the willingness to take over end-to-end responsibility is key.

Your Profile

  • A master’s degree or Ph.D. in Information Systems, Operations Management, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics or similar studies with a focus on data analysis.
  • You have experience in using machine learning for Operations, Transport, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
  • Profound skills in predictive modelling (e.g. demand forecasting), statistics and Python are a must.
  • Ideally, you have experience implementing data products in the cloud, using Microsoft Azure, Databricks, DevOps, PySpark and related technologies.
  • You love big datasets and you are deeply passionate about the potentials of data science. As a lifelong learner, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the AI and data science communities feels natural to you.
  • Ability to work in English is required. German is a plus.
