Betterlore (betterlore.com) is an iGaming brand bringing to the market a new type of online games combining popular physical machines with the power of online technologies. Over the past years, we have developed the first of such games together with the supporting infrastructure. The Company has German roots with bases in Malta, Serbia and India and the games’ locations are situated in Germany as well as on the cloud. As a result of this development, Betterlore is seeking the services of a Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) who will build the infrastructure and support these platforms to ensure we remain on the forefront of technology.

Your responsibilities:

  • As our Senior DevOps Engineer you will take ownership of the physical and virtual, on-premise and on-cloud systems infrastructure including servers and networking infrastructure, ensuring they are adequately monitored, protected and kept up to date.
  • Further, you will lead the implementation of the DevOps tools roadmap together with the software and data development teams to provide a stream-lined pipeline of regular updates to our online platforms and to facilitate operational troubleshooting of the live platforms.
  • You will introduce automation in the rollout of software and infrastructure updates and maintain systems documentation as required from time to time.
  • Another part of your job will be keeping 24x7 system availability and related KPIs to an acceptable level.
  • Also, you will work with the systems and networks administrators to develop and maintain the operational and development platform environments in use by the company.
  • In addition, you will liaise with external service providers in the provision of systems and DevOps engineering services.

Your qualifications:

  • 2 years practical experience managing on-premise and public cloud infrastructure services such as those on MS Azure
  • 2 years practical experience in working within a senior DevOps role, creating, and improving automation systems and providing platform operational support, experience in using Jenkins and Kubernetes (K8s/AKS) is a must
  • 1 year technical leadership experience in the area of DevOps
  • Experience in building and managing complex Linux environments as well as in troubleshooting online platforms
  • Industry-standard certifications in this area would be an asset
  • A highly recognized IT related degree is highly-desirable
  • Good communications skills including well spoken and written English required
  • Regular travel to Malta and Germany is considered part of the job
