What you'll do

• As SOR- Automatisation – engineer at KNAUF you are responsible for the development, introduction and testing of cutting-edge software modules for process data reporting, analysis, and input within an MES system such as smart sensor concepts, video-based control systems, AI-based regulations, and visualization concepts
• Take the lead in project management: ensuring the smooth execution of global rollout projects, organizing cross-border meetings, and crafting Excel and software templates for international use, providing a platform for honing your project management skills
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, offering timely solutions to software and data coupling issues as well as energy management challenges, additionally you prepare and deliver international training sessions
• Dive into a diverse array of tasks, including planning, analyzing, implementing, and evaluating improvement tests for energy optimization and gypsum production plants, furthermore, contribute to the development of innovative solutions
• You take charge of parameterizing and coupling measuring systems, programming data blocks for Siemens and other PLCs, conducting customized statistical analysis, and adapting control concepts. Simultaneously, you'll develop, test, and commission model-based control (MBC) systems, honing your skills in automation and control engineering

Who you are

• You have many years of professional experience in the area of automatization, AI-based and video-based control systems and visualisation concepts
• Model based controlling in AI based regulation systems won ́t be a problem for you
• Being fluent in English is essential, knowledge of German would be an advantage but is not a must and you are generally willing to travel
• As a professional your communication skills are on top – you will report directly to the management
• You'll have no trouble navigating common programs like Excel and others, such as MS Office
