Test Engineer - Li-Ion Battery Technology (m/f/d)

What's the role?

You don't just want to do your work at a desk, but also feel comfortable in a test field environment and can thus also "grasp" our products. In our technically state-of-the-art laboratory, you will be responsible for testing complex battery systems for the protection of Li-ion cells & batteries.
You want to grow personally and professionally and set yourself ambitious goals to do so. You like to take the unconventional route, think around corners and want to have a positive impact on building a sustainable future.
Together with an interdisciplinary and international team, you will work on the development of innovative products. To overcome technical challenges, you will bring your problem-solving knowledge and implementation skills to the table - this includes coordinating and taking responsibility for trials on our products from initial functional samples to series production.

What does the role involve?

Your focus is on the independent safeguarding and testing of Li-ion cells & batteries. In doing so, you are independently responsible for the planning, execution and evaluation of tests on batteries in different sample stands. You operate our latest testing and measurement technology and develop it even further through your own drive and knowledge.

With your strong team orientation, you coordinate your activities in close cooperation with colleagues in various technology and development projects and always have your goals clearly in view.

You present your work results in project and steering committees and thus ensure open and clear communication within the project teams and to the management. To further deepen your initial leadership experience, you will coordinate tasks and workflows with internal and external partners and supervise and coach external employees and student projects.

We will accompany you intensively in your career start and support you both in the challenging technical tasks and through coaching and mentoring. In this way, you will gain comprehensive insights into the processes of our product development and gain experience with various departments.

This also opens up the opportunity for you to develop further at Hilti worldwide and move up to a position with more responsibility.

What you need is:

• Broad knowledge in the field of Li-ion technology, electrical machines and measurement technology
• High affinity for hands-on activities and the ability to identify and solve problems
• Strong desire to progress into a more advanced role with personnel responsibility
• Completed Master's degree or diploma in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics or precision engineering
• Several years of professional experience in the development or safeguarding of electrical components
• Analytical skills to recognize complex interrelationships
• Good communication skills in English; German is optional
