Test engineer for the protection of electric drives (m/f/d)

What's the role?

With your hands-on mentality and implementation skills, you have an affinity for practical activities and are seeking to develop your skills in the practice-oriented testing of technically complex electric drives.
You feel comfortable in a test and laboratory environment and want to work together with an interdisciplinary and international team on the development of innovative products. To overcome technical challenges, you will contribute your analytical skills and problem-solving know-how – this includes coordinating and taking responsibility for trials of our products from initial samples through to series production.

What does the role involve?

The focus is on safeguarding and testing brushless electric motors, their control electronics and power tool components. You will be independently responsible for the planning, execution and evaluation of tests conducted on electric drives and control systems. You will do so in close cooperation with the relevant development departments. You will present the results to the relevant development teams. Based on these results, you will develop and implement new testing technologies for our laboratory. As a team player, you will support good cooperation with our development departments.
The advertised post is a development position: the tasks and responsibilities described above will offer you an opportunity to demonstrate and develop your personal and technical skills. A next possible step could be a technical project management role in the medium term.

What you need is:

• Completed studies in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics or precision engineering
• First practical experience in the field of electrical drives and/or electronics
• Know-How in the field of electrical machines and measurement technology
• Analytical and strategic skills and high affinity for practical activities
• Excellent communication skills and persuasiveness in an interdisciplinary and international environment
• Motivation and willingness to develop your own career
• Team player with excellent communication skills in a dynamic interdisciplinary and international environment
• Very good knowledge of English, knowledge of German an advantage
