Commercial Project Manager*

- full time / permanent -

Tasks:

  • Supporting the project manager in all financial aspects of the project like cost estimation, planning, monitoring and control as well as evaluation in order to meet the project objectives on cost and ROI and ensure compliance to all relevant internal and external financial standards, rules and regulations
  • Driving the commercial evaluation, financial modelling and evaluation of business cases of the project as well as any change requests and supporting the project manager in preparing commercial analysis and documentation for board approvals
  • Creation and maintaining all project commercial/contractual/financial documentation
  • Establishing, maintenance and execution of a cost management plan with planning, monitoring, control procedures including a reliable and robust forecasting and reporting process
  • Supporting qualitative and quantitative risk assessment with focus on commercial aspects of risks and opportunities including the definition and management of mitigation strategies and contingency plans
  • Management of project costs, commercial risks, billings, invoicing, accruals, provisions, auditing, scope validation and approval and payment of service providers
  • Supporting negotiations of contracts with service providers and suppliers, monitoring and control of the agreed-on deliverables and milestone as well as the related cost tracking and approval
  • Regular communication together with the project manager with all stakeholders (i.e. project team, customers, contractors, vendors, partners and international subsidiaries)
  • Capturing commercial lessons learned, evaluate, and implemented within the organization

Education and professional knowledge:

  • Successfully completed business, commercial or technician education
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in comparable positions with focus on cost controlling
  • High level of social and communication skills
  • Service orientation and assertiveness
  • Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
  • Strong financial management and controlling skills as well as Earned Value Management
  • PMP certification with solid understanding of all project management knowledge areas
  • Deep understanding of all internal and external standards related to commercial aspects of projects
  • Ability to build consensus internal and external to ensure compliance to standards with all involved parties
  • Strong experience in ProjectOnline, SAP PS, SharePoint, Power BI and MSOffice tools
