We are currently looking for a Senior Manager Health & Safety (m/f/d) based in Germany (Blieskastel) or France (Obernai) for a permanent contract.

Reporting to our Senior Vice President Manufacturing, your main mission is the following:

  • Define the Health & Safety strategy for Manufacturing and Logistics
  • Analyze and track H&S performance and support leadership teams to drive change
  • Review accidents and near misses, identify trends at the different sites and consolidate at global level
  • Cultivate a Safety culture in Manufacturing / Logistics
  • Leverage new innovative ideas to improve safety at work, identify best practices in the Manufacturing/ Logistics H&S operations and drive continuous improvement in line with our Hager Production System
  • Partner with site teams to provide up and down coaching on the Health & Safety strategy via regular site visits and remote meetings to help the teams understand the current status, identify gaps and align on actions and next steps
  • In addition to operational and strategical facts, you will act as functional liaison between the Corporate Health & Safety function and Manufacturing/ Logistics operations reporting solid to the Vice President Group Manufacturing and dotted lineto the Group Health & Safety leader

Your profile

  • Minimum 10 - 15 years of working experience, especially in Occupational Health & Safety on an international scale and strong leadership skills in a manufacturing environment with Lean Management experience
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Science or in a related field as well as advanced training in HS (NEBOSH equivalent)
  • Incumbent needs to be able to drive strategic mindset and to work "hand's on" and to drive changes on the shop floor, drive change will be key
  • Experience in developing strategies and in deploying Health & Safety programs, leading change projects and implement change on a global scale
  • Experience in management systems implementation (OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001)
  • English is a must, German or French is a plus, any additional language is a complementary asset
  • Travel will be required for this role across our different locations, mainly in Europe (France, Germany, Poland, Italy for the main part but also UK & Spain)
