Master thesis in the field of “Combining Physical Models with Artificial Intelligence to optimize cycle times in injection molding processes” (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Analysis and evaluation of various theoretical approaches to determine the energy input in the injection molding process
- Creation and further development of simulation models to predict the required cycle times in the elastomer injection molding process
- Data generation using DOE or CFD
- Validation of the modeling approaches with real data
Qualifications
- Master of Science studies in the field of mechanical engineering, process engineering, plastics engineering or related fields
- Very good knowledge in one of the following areas: Theory of heat transfer, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), machine learning
- Very good knowledge and programming experience in Python
- Knowledge of injection molding is desirable
- Commitment, flexibility, initiative and creativity
